TOPEKS CAMPING CLUB MINUTES

 Pomona Lake – Michigan Valley

Opening:

Vice-President Terry Christensen called the meeting to Order at 6:25 pm.

Roll Call: Roll Call was taken by acting Secretary Kristen Christensen and there were a total of 9 families present.

Guests: None.

Treasurer Report: Provided by Treasurer Russ Thomann:

Beginning Bank Balance: $ 840.29

Expenditures: $-119.04

Deposits: $ 0.00

Ending Balance: $ 721.25

Old Business: None

New Business:

Thank You to Elmer and Donna Burnett for the wonderful taco salad (and all those that brought ingredients). Thank You to Jack and Teresa Diaz for the delicious Margaritas.

We will need a new Treasurer and President for next year.

Meeting to plan next year’s camping schedule will be after the October meeting. We will discuss the membership dues and carryover amount.

Spot #93 – Loop B is available is someone needs a spot.

Halloween Campout – Best Adult costume, Best Child costume, Best Carved Pumpkin (bring your own pumpkin), Best Decorated Camper.

We will have a Chili Cookoff for the dinner.

Announcements:

The September Birthdays and Anniversaries were recognized.

October Campout:

Saturday, October 25^th

1:30 pm – Costume Parade – Dress up and parade thru the campground.

1:45 pm – Trick or Treating for the Kids

2:00 pm – Halloween Cookie Decorating

2:15 pm – Halloween BINGO

5:30 pm – Pumpkin Carving judging (Bring your Own) during dinner. Chili Cookoff Dinner. Those not making Chili, Last Name A – L bring a Desert and Last Name M – Z bring a Side Dish. Topeks meeting to follow dinner.

October 24, 25, 26 2025 We will eat at 5:30 pm on Saturday evening.

We will have a Chili Cookoff for dinner. Those not making Chili bring a desert or side dish.

Bring your Halloween decorations for your camper and costumes for the October campout. Don’t forget candy – the kids will trick or treat at the campers and we will have our traditional costume parade.

Meeting adjourned at 6:35 pm.
